Test and tag is the inspection and electrical testing of portable appliances and equipment in the workplace — and for most Gold Coast businesses, it's a legal obligation under Queensland's Workplace Health and Safety legislation.

Any portable appliance connected via a plug — power tools, computers, extension leads, kitchen equipment, power boards — needs to be tested at intervals set by AS/NZS 3760. Testing frequency depends on the workplace environment, ranging from every 3 months on construction sites to every 5 years in low-risk offices.
